Enjoyed reading all of that and best of luck to you Tripp. I grew up in Hurst and it made me think of Hurst Jr. High and High school days at L. D. Bell and the times back then. Some good and some bad. My partner and I now live in North Dallas and had our 15 year anniversary on August 2nd. If I can offer any advice it would be that, "Things do get better".

Thank you so much for sharing. I did watch one of your videos already and I can't help but feel very moved.

As you said, research is good, but people need real help now.

Anyone else that catches this, please watch the video of Mike who has severe autism and self-injures.

Please note that self injurious behavior among autistic population is different than in on autistic population, in that the antecedents to behavior are rooted in multiple antecedents that fluctuate daily and require comprehensive analysis based on person's unique and individual needs. See you tube videos under kgaccount for a better picture of what SIB is like for persons with severe autism who are non verbal.
