Some words for Memorial Day this year…
My heart hurts to think of all the loss
For families hurt by the death of their children
Fathers and mothers that never came home
Brothers and sisters that are now all alone
My heart hurts for the millions and millions
Lost to war, on the battlefield, hunger, disease
May we all find peace, learn to help each other
To let go of our fears, let go of the need to win
May we allow life to have the power, not death
Bless everyone on Memorial Day
And may we remember all those hurt by war
And we thank you all for your service.
